GCE Group again selected as energy auditor of OJSC “Kaustic”

The first experience of joint work of the companies took place in 2006 when the energy auditors of GCE Group conducted the survey of OJSC “Kaustic” and identified an energy saving potential on the thermal and electrical energy to the tune of 12% of the total energy consumed, and suggested a number of measures to improve the energy efficiency of the enterprise.

After the energy audit in 2006 the company has replaced the obsolete systems of operational current, has made the overhaul of cable lines and lighting system. Within the framework of the program of reconstruction and replacement of the capital equipment aiming at improving the energy efficiency of manufacturing processes, the reconstruction of the VC - PVC complex (vinyl and polyvinyl chloride production) is being undertaken. According to the press-service of the OJSC “Kaustic” the modernization will increase the productivity without reducing the efficiency of the fuel and energy resources.     

The policy taken in 2011 on energy efficiency and intensification of technological processes has enables the company to achieve 5% of savings on energy resources.
According to Vasiliy Tarasovsky, the Director for Energy Efficiency of the GCE Group, the present work will prolong until the end of 2012. It is assumed that the greatest potential for energy savings will be identified in the heating system and may reach to 12%.
